Key Responsibilities
- Provide counselling services using evidence based and trauma-informed practices to support victims and survivors of GBV.
- Advocate for and support clients in accessing other services to remove barriers and enhance support.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case notes, records, and reports in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards.
- Participate in case consultations, meetings, and interdisciplinary collaborations to ensure comprehensive client care.
- Engage in continuous professional development to remain current with best practices in counselling, trauma recovery, and GBV services.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s level degree in a social science
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
- Minimum 2-3 years of counselling experience, preferably in the areas of GBV, trauma, and mental health.
- Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
- Strong understanding of the social, cultural and systemic factors impacting survivors of GBV.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team as well as independently

Salary
$40.02 to $47.53 per hour
