Thunder Bay Counselling is the leading provider of personal and workplace support services. We are an independently operated, not-for-profit organization. Counselling, psychotherapy, education and support services are provided by professional counsellors to help people make positive changes in their personal, family or work lives.

Clients come to us from diverse backgrounds, cultures and professions. They are children, youth, seniors, couples, families, employees and employers. All of our programs and services are offered in confidence and include subsidized or fee for service solutions. Make an appointment today

Who we are

Thunder Bay Counselling is governed by a 12-member volunteer Board of Directors who live within Thunder Bay and District.

A dedicated leadership and staff team ensure that our programs and services are delivered to the highest standards every day. Our staff are professionally trained and have backgrounds in social work, psychology, addictions and mental health, child and youth work and the financial industry.

We positively promote Equal Opportunities and Diversity in all elements of our governance, leadership and work.

Program priorities are determined based upon our values and in response to the ongoing and emerging needs of our community in consultation and collaboration with key stakeholders and other community service providers. The agency focuses on the efficient and effective use of resources with an emphasis on prevention, accountability, equity, cultural safety, involvement of people with lived and living experience, and collaboration in service delivery.
