SOLUTIONS THAT CHANGE LIVES
DES SOLUTIONS QUI CHANGENT DES VIES
Counselling
Counselling is a form of “talk therapy”. Talk therapy provides a confidential, safe, and supportive environment to share what is troubling you. Youth talk to us about a wide range of challenges including: anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, bullying, relationships, school stress, suicidal thoughts, violence, self-esteem, and others. We also work with children and youth who feel affected by their parent’s separation or divorce.
Children and youth come to Thunder Bay Counselling to get support for different issues at home or school. We offer friendly and welcoming counsellors to help young people build confidence, reduce stress, and find new ways to cope with personal issues.
Youth Outreach Counselling
Youth Outreach Counsellors provide support to youth when it’s needed most.
This program provides FREE short-term counselling to youth between the ages of 12-25 and their families where support services are not immediately available or access to further community services is needed.
Youth can get support with issues related to:
- Mental health
- Substance use
- Trauma
- Relationship violence
- Human/sex trafficking
- Criminal activity
- Personal and/or family relationships
Youth Outreach Counsellors will meet youth where they’re at in the community.
