Violence Against Women Program
Counselling & Psychotherapy Services
The Violence Against Women program is a free counselling service for women 16 and over and their children. The program is for women who have or are experiencing emotional, physical and/or sexual abuse, including past childhood sexual abuse.
The program supports women in their choices and offers safety planning. Our goal is for clients to live free from violence.
Where else to get help
The Assaulted Women’s Helpline at 1-866-863-0511, 1-866-863-0511 FREE offers a 24-hour telephone and TTY 1-866-863-7868 crisis line for abused women in Ontario. The service is anonymous and confidential and is provided in up to 154 languages.
Talk4Healing, a help line for Aboriginal Women
1-855-554-HEAL, 1-855-554-HEAL FREE(4325). The help line is available 24 hours a day; 7 days a week. Talk4Healing will offer services in English, Ojibway, Oji-Cree and Cree.

Support Services for Male Survivors Program
The Male Survivors Program is free and confidential counselling for men 16 and over who have experienced sexual abuse or assault. Family and significant others can also access counselling to support their loved one.
The program is specifically for men to regain a sense of control over their lives by developing positive coping skills.

Mental Health Counselling
The Mental Health Counselling Program provides counselling for individuals experiencing issues such as:

- depression
- grief
- stress
- recent or previous trauma.
The subsidized fee is $125 per hour and may be covered through:

The Couples Counselling Program provides counselling for couples to assist them in building a healthier and more satisfying relationship.

Sexual Violence & Harassment
Counselling is available at no cost if you have experienced sexual violence and/or harassment as a teen or as an adult. This program can help you share your feelings with a professional counsellor even if time has passed since the assault. We help survivors learn that sexual assault and harassment is never their fault. It is never okay.
Online Counselling
Online counselling services provide the option of accessing professional counselling at the click of a mouse.
Anyone who can navigate online can enter into the world of online counselling. Teens and youth are especially comfortable with communicating online, people living in rural communities who just can’t access counselling in the traditional way, adults who enjoy letter writing or journaling, or those wanting a degree of anonymity can benefit.
