Thunder Bay Counselling continues to evolve and transform. We are hiring new Counsellors/Psychotherapists and Addiction Counsellors.
Counsellors utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions based on evidence informed and promising practice using a trauma informed, client-centred, solution-focused framework. Our programs work with a diversity of people to assist with a variety of issues impacting quality of life.

- A minimum of a Bachelor level degree in social work or related field
- Membership with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario
- Experience providing counselling
- Solid clinical framework with knowledge in a variety of therapeutic interventions including CBT and DBT
- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills (training in the application of Global Assessment of Individual Needs (GAIN) an asset)
- Knowledge of Indigenous history and culture with ability to provide culturally based interventions
- Bilingual (English/French) preferred
Salary range: $31.35 to $43.50 per hour
Benefits: Positions working a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible for all benefits, including life, accident and critical illness insurance, extended health coverage, dental coverage, Employee Assistance Program, group retirement plan and Paid Time Off benefits (28 days per year at start of employment).
