Male Survivors Luncheon

Thunder Bay Counselling Centre, Catholic Family Development Centre, Nishnawbe Aski Nation, Thunder Bay Sexual Assault & Sexual Abuse Counselling & Crisis Centre and Children’s Centre Thunder Bay, hosted a unique workshop for local professionals focused on supporting Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse or Sexual Assault.

The event was led by keynote speaker; author Tom Wilken, who has worked as a Probation Officer for the past nine years with both the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services and the Ministry of Children & Youth.

 

Don Campion also spoke at the event. Don is a long term advocate for male survivors of sexual abuse. His courage and strength has brought him to a place where he has become the voice for many victims who believe they don’t have one.
